McDonald's Hotel
Main Contractor: Bowmer and Kirkland
Location: Sheffield
Contract Value: £1m
Completed: 2007
The McDonald's Hotel (now known as St Paul's Hotel & Spa) project formed part of a regeneration programme in Sheffield, aiming to revitalise the city centre. The hotel’s position between Sheffield’s beautiful Winter Gardens and historic Town Hall meant the design had to be architecturally significant and sympathetic. It was an honour to part of this building, transforming Sheffield City Centre for years to come.
Metclad Contracts worked with a range of manufacturers to supply the highest quality products including, Sika-Trocal, SFS Intec and Bilco. The building’s multi-textured façade was created using Kingspan composite panels, Bemoseam cladding and galvanised steel decking sheets and keybar accessories.
