Metclad Contracts Ltd. founded

1987

Our first official order was received from Basewell Engineering Ltd, who we still work with today

1988

We received our first order from Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd, who we still work with today

1989

We received our first order from Jelson Ltd. for an industrial development in Leicestershire

1990

Awarded our first overseas order for cladding works for a new power station in the British Virgin Islands

1990

Construction of our new Head Office in Newstead Village

1991

Construction of a new purpose built industrial unit for local newly founded company, Mark Webster Furniture

1992

Awarded our first order working on a Sainsbury's store in Leicester. We went on to become one of their preferred contractors for new and existing stores.

1993

Construction of a second purpose built industrial unit for Mark Webster Furniture

1994

Completed the roof and wall cladding for the new Trent End stand at Nottingham Forest Football Club

1994

Awarded first single ply roofing project - Sainsbury's & Homebase, Enflied

1995

Completed a flat panel system on the Lords Cricket Ground

1996

Awarded contract for Boots new D6 building at their Nottingham head office

1997

Awarded the cladding package for Derby County Football Club's new stadium at Pride Park

1997

Completed Vinopolis in Bankside, London

1997

Metclad Contracts forms Flat Roofing Division

1998

Returned to the British Virgin Islands following a fire at the Power Station

1999

Achieved turnover in excess of £5m

Gasell Perfection In Cladding Award (PICA) winner for the Dinosaur Museum, Isle of Wight

2000

Aluminium Imagination Award winner for Sainbury's Millennium store

PICA Highly Commended for the Innovation Centre, Mansfield

Completed the iconic and technically challenging SAGE Music Centre, Gateshead

First green roof installed at Minster School, Southwell

Awarded the flat roofing package for new Test Bed 58, Rolls Royce Derby
