The new STEM building at the University of Bedfordshire will provide students with 6320m2 of new teaching space, focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects, including Pharmaceutical and Chemical Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, and Mechanical Engineering. The building’s simple colour palette gives it an understated yet striking architectural presence in Luton.
Metclad Contracts worked with a range of high quality manufacturers to create the new STEM building including, IKO, Kingspan, Sarnafil, Marley and Siderise. The building’s façade was created using BTS 3mm secret fix hook panels in RAL 9006 Silver, Regency 1 Anodised Gold and RAL 7016 Anthracite.
