We are thrilled to have received the Innovation Award at Morgan Sindall’s event last week in Birmingham.
Our Andy Gannon and Mark Smith collected the award from non other than Kevin Keegan for our works on Rutland Mills; a state-of-the-art creative hub in the heart of Wakefield.
During the construction phase at Rutland Mills, and due to the steep roof slopes, it was evident there would be issues with rainwater which if not controlled, would disrupt other trades working on the project below roof level.
Metclad designed and supplied a multipurpose temporary gutter which dealt with the rain water and also accommodated the load of a palette of roof sheets so the materials could be safely distributed around the steep roof slope.
The temporary gutter enabled façade and internal work to progress while the roof was being installed and prevented water cascading down the building.
An innovative solution which enabled all teams to continue works on this great project.
